In this course, Ms. Cusick reviews in detail the key biomechanical and sensorimotor aspects of early postural control acquisition – the essential foundation for building competent limb use and movement skills.
After introductory remarks, Ms. Cusick anchors these key elements and milestones in the clinical literature, and identifies typical and essential changes in postural control in prone and supine positions during development. She offers three video case studies of clients before and after therapeutic interventions which address their postural control deficits. Following a summary review of the key principles and milestones, the webinar presents a Q&A session based on questions asked during the initial live webinar. In conclusion, Ms. Cusick cites key clinicians who have significantly influenced her work, and details their contributions to the scientific foundations of the golden rule.
Good course. Clear and precise. I would have liked even more clinical cases and more detailed clinical reasoning.
I would have liked to see more ideas for interventions using equipment other than Theratogs. For example, equipment that parents can easily obtain at home.
Very relevant course, but it would have been interesting to have tools other than Theratogs to help overcome deficiencies.
excellent
Very interesting course.
