Stress is a fundamental mechanism for human survival. It is therefore impossible and undesirable to eliminate this physiological response. That said, clinical studies clearly show that the presence of stress, in its chronic form, is very harmful to physical and psychological health.
People with the ability to manage stress well integrate more activities based on intrinsic motivation. Science has shown that this type of motivation greatly influences our life habits and our ability to manage stressful and anxiety-provoking situations in our daily lives.
This short course aims to help clinicians better understand the different types of motivation in order to encourage their patients to integrate more intrinsic motivation into their lives. This practice will increase the success of their intervention and the overall satisfaction of their patients.
