Violaine Masson is a pharmacist in mental health and internal medicine at the CIUSSS de l’Est-de-l’île de Montréal (Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital and the Institut Universitaire en Santé Mentale de Montréal) since obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Laval University in 2007 and her Master’s degree in hospital pharmacy in 2009. She is one of only 10 pharmacists in Quebec to hold the American certification as a pharmacist specialist in psychiatry from the College of Psychiatric and Neurology Pharmacists. She is a lecturer at the University of Montreal in four programs in the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine. Her expertise is regularly sought by pharmaceutical companies, in court cases, and by organizations such as the INESSS and the Centre de Toxicologie de Québec. She is a very appreciated speaker for pharmacists in Canada.
