Biography

Prof. Yannick Tousignant-Laflamme is a physiotherapist and full professor at the School of Rehabilitation at the University of Sherbrooke. His research program is structured around three main axes:

  1. Improving the management of low back pain in rehabilitation, primarily through an innovative non-pharmacological management model for low back pain (Pain and Disability Vector Management Model) aimed at rehabilitation professionals.
  2. Chronic pain management, where he has undertaken several projects aimed at improving physiotherapy management of populations with various musculoskeletal disorders and developing and evaluating programs to promote self-management of painful symptoms.
  3. Personalizing rehabilitation care by using prognosis to tailor therapeutic approaches specific to musculoskeletal disorders and the principles of value-based care.
