Shallwani"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Shirin Shallwani is a licensed physiotherapist and postdoctoral researcher at the\u00a0Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine of the\u00a0University of Alberta. She has over 15 years of clinical experience with cancer and lymphedema patient populations. Her current research involves designing, implementing, and evaluating exercise and rehabilitation support for individuals with cancer.\u00a0Dr. Shallwani is also a research associate with the\u00a0McGill University Lymphedema Research Program, where she is involved with investigating lymphedema risk-reduction strategies for cancer and non-cancer populations. To date, she has published over 25 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, co-authored two textbook chapters, and delivered over 45 presentations at national and international conferences. She has also been invited to guest lecture at the McGill University School of Physical &amp; Occupational Therapy since 2012 and has instructed post-graduate oncology courses through the\u00a0Canadian Physiotherapy Association\u00a0(CPA) and other independent organizations.
