Autonomic nervous system dysregulation has come into focus with long covid and highlighted the relevance of the ANS in all health conditions. This course will discuss basic principals of autonomic nervous system function and the impact of stress, lifestyle and illness. The physiology of vasovagal symptoms and POTS will be explored. Evidence based and practical strategies to manage dysautonomia will be discussed.
Outline :
- Module 1 : Structure and function
- Module 2 : Impact of stress, altered circadian rhythms and illness
- Module 3: Understanding vasovagal symptoms, POTS and other symptoms of dysautonomia
- Module 4: Management and treatment strategies
- Module 5 : Case Study
Very clear and very interesting! Thank you!
A very interesting course that provides a better understanding of the interactions between the different systems of the human body.
Interesting
Very relevant course
Fascinating content but difficult to follow due to my lack of knowledge of the autonomic nervous system. I believe I would have benefitted from more education and discussion of the ANS during the introduction. Autonomic reactions to treatment are something I occasionally come across in my practice and more knowledge of how to handle these symtoms is something I am looking for. The course is interesting but a case study that had more follow-up sessions would have helped me understand more how to handle cases like this and to see the progression and what to expect.
