How do I access my online course?

Access to your courses will be sent automatically to the e-mail address you provided at the time of purchase. You can access them by logging into your account, then clicking on “My Learning Center” in the top of the menu bar.

If you can’t find the courses you’ve registered for, don’t worry! Some courses require manual verification, so you’ll receive the information and/or access within the next 24 business hours.

If you still haven’t received your courses after 24 business hours, write to us at [email protected] and we’ll rectify the problem!

Online Courses

Cancellation and refund policy

All cancellation requests must be made by email to [email protected]

If you have to cancel your attendance at an in-class course or online live course:

  • We will refund 100% of the amount if the cancellation request is made 30 days before the course date.
  • We will refund 75% of the amount or we will give you a credit of 100% of the initial amount that will be applicable on Bia education products if the request is made between 29 and 15 days before the course.
  • We will give you a credit of 75% of the initial amount that will be applicable on Bia education products if the request is made between 14 and 1 day before the course.

 

If we have to cancel or postpone the in-class course or online live course because the number of participants is insufficient, the registrants will be informed by email within 10 days before the course. Participants will have 3 choices:

  • Maintain their registration and reserve their place for the postponed course at a later date.
  • Obtain a credit equivalent to 100% of the initial amount which is applicable on all Bia education products.
  • Obtain a refund equivalent to 100% of the initial amount.

 

For online course, we can refund you the full amount on:

  • “Pre-orders”, i.e. courses that you have already paid for, but which you have not yet had access to;
  • Courses to which you have received access within the last 5 business days and which have not yet been started.

Continuing education units

Each health professional who is a member of a college or association must complete continuing education units (CEU) annually. Here is some information about kinesiologists, physiotherapists and physiotherapy technologists.

Kinesiologist, FKQ

All accredited members of the Fédération des Kinésiologues du Québec (FKQ) must accumulate 30 credits of recognized continuing education every two years from the year of their accreditation. These credits can be obtained from continuing education offered by the FKQ and/or other organizations recognized by the FKQ. In order to facilitate your task of analyzing the credits granted to your course, the FKQ Continuing Education Committee gives you access to an equivalency grid.

For each* of your courses at Bia education, you will receive a certificate of participation confirming the number of hours of course received.

*Excluding course not accessible to kinesiologists, this exclusion will be mentioned in the course description.

Kinesiologist-kinesitherapist, A.K.K.O.M.Q.

All members of the A.K.K.O.M.Q. must accumulate continuing education units. The association intends to ensure the safety and quality of kinesiology and kinesiology-kinesitherapy interventions, by requiring its members to maintain and improve their knowledge through the many continuing education courses offered annually, and to put their skills into practice while respecting the code of ethics. Credits can be obtained from continuing education offered by the FKQ and/or other organizations recognized by the FKQ.

For each* of your courses at Bia education, you will receive a certificate of participation confirming the number of hours of course received.

*Excluding course not accessible to kinesitherapists, this exclusion will be mentioned in the course description.

Physiotherapist and physiotherapy technologist, OPPQ

In the case of physiotherapists, each member must have a minimum of 45 hours of continuing education units (CEU) during the reference period, which is three years. Of these 45 hours, at least 30 hours must be accumulated in formal learning activities. The remaining continuing education hours can be accumulated in autonomous, formal learning activities or in a combination of both categories.

A CEU is equivalent to one hour of course, which is the actual time spent by the member to acquire or update his or her knowledge or skills. In the context of a formal activity, the member is in a learning situation when acting as a participant. Time spent on breaks, meals or any other activity without academic content should therefore be subtracted from the calculation of CEUs.

A formal learning activity is defined as an activity designed and delivered by experts in the subject matter and with a predetermined structure, content, objectives and duration. All the course offered by Bia education are therefore likely to be considered as a formal learning activity. During your course at Bia education, you will receive a certificate attesting to the number of hours of continuous education granted to the event.

Then, it is the physiotherapist’s role to define whether the suggested training theme is related to his or her practice and will allow him or her to optimize his or her professional competence.

How can I access my course in French?

You can access the French subtitles for your course by clicking on “cc” in the video window at the bottom right. You can then select the language of your choice and leave them on or off. The course notes are also available in French by clicking on “ressources” when you’re on the main course page. You can also select the language of your choice at the top of the page (En/Fr).

How do I access my online course?

How does AfterPay works?

AfterPay is a payment platform that allows you to divide your entire online order into 4 equal installments that will be scheduled over a 6-week period.

Is there any interest?

No. As long as you pay on time, there will be no additional fees.

Will AfterPay affect my credit?

Afterpay may conduct a soft credit check for new customers when they first sign-up to use the platform. This soft credit check will not impact a customer’s credit score. 

How do I pay with AfterPay?

It’s very simple. Here are the steps to follow:

  3. The transaction will be reviewed and/or approved
  4. Finalizing the purchase

Policy for transferring access to your courses

If you wish to transfer a course to your colleague (for example), you can email us at [email protected]. We will be happy to transfer the access to this person, if the course has not been started.

In any case, it is forbidden to share the accesses to anyone. The quantity of a course purchased is equivalent to the number of accesses granted. A certificate is automatically transmitted after the completion of a course and it is impossible to change the name and date on this certificate once issued.

Price Adjustment Policy

If you’ve purchased an online course from us and the price of that course has been reduced within five days of your purchase date, we’ll honor a price adjustment request, as long as you haven’t started viewing the course.

To request a price adjustment, please email us at [email protected] within five days of your original purchase date, and we’ll refund the difference to your original payment method.

For pre-sale courses, we’ll honor your price adjustment request as long as you haven’t been granted access to the course yet.

We’re committed to providing our customers with a fair and transparent pricing policy, so if you have any questions about our price adjustment policy, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Promotional code

If you’ve used a promotional code to purchase the course, we’ll honor a price adjustment request as a percentage discount from a partnership agreement, provided that you haven’t started viewing the course. However, this discount cannot be combined with any other promotion.

If the course was already on promotion when you made your purchase, we’ll only apply the price adjustment if the value of the promotion at the time of purchase was less than the adjustment you’re requesting.

Membership

As an employer, do all employees have to be registered to take advantage of the special rates?

No, you don’t have to register all your employees. However, you do need to subscribe to a minimum of 5 employees* to get access to advantageous rates.

Please note that each employee must have his or her own subscription in order to access the benefits of the subscription, such as the personalized dashboard, course history, attestation, credit accumulation, Bia points, etc.

It is not possible to share a subscription with different users.

A double authentication connection will restrict access.

Does the membership renew automatically?

Great question!

About the annual membership:

It renews automatically, but you will receive a renewal notice before this date so you can decide whether or not to continue your subscription. You can unsubscribe 1 time per year before the due date.

If you have an employer-paid subscription, your employer is responsible for unsubscribing you if necessary. You don’t have to do anything yourself!

About monthly subscriptions:

It renews automatically without notice as described in the terms of use. However, you can unsubscribe at any time from your account and even suspend your subscription for 1 month if you’re having second thoughts.

How do I cancel my subscription?

We are sorry to hear that you are canceling your subscription.

If you have taken out an annual subscription, we invite you not to renew your subscription on your subscription anniversary date.

If you have a monthly subscription, you can unsubscribe at any time. It’s easy, you can unsubscribe in your account, in the “subscription” section.

Please note that if you unsubscribe, you will no longer have access to the benefits of this membership, such as access to your scientific abstracts, access to the member rate, access to your free webinars and the double loyalty program.

What’s more, if you have courses in progress, you’ll have 4 months to view them. Unlimited access to courses is included exclusively in the paid subscription.

How do you choose your scientific articles?

First, we make sure that every month there are 7 articles on orthopedics/pain, followed by 3 on other rehabilitation topics.

The article selection process is rigorous, since we want to offer you high-quality, up-to-date articles that are of course relevant and applicable in the clinic.

How do you determine the level of evidence for articles?

Great question!

Scientific rigor is an important value at Bia, and our scientific committee has put in place a very rigorous process to determine the level of evidence.

The process is based on the use of 2 well-recognized scales: the “Evidence Based Practice Tool” from Winona State University and the well-known GRADE scale.

How much does the membership cost?

From October 1st, the membership will be at regular price:

  • $179.99 for an annual subscription (15% savings compared to a monthly subscription)
  • $17.65 for a monthly subscription

An email will be sent at the beginning of each month to announce that the scientific summaries have been published.

Specifically, on the 1st of the month at 7:00 AM Eastern Time, the 10 abstracted articles will be published in your “learning center” and you will see them appear in the “Scientific article summaries” sub-section as well as the “New content” sub-section.

If you haven’t had time to read your scientific articles this month, don’t worry, they’ll remain in your “learning center” and accumulate every month.

How can I send my CV for this application?

I have several jobs to post. How does it work?

For each job posting, one occupation at a time can be displayed. Here are a few examples:
