Summary
The evaluation and treatment of nerves are often considered by most as something very irritable for patients and therefore many clinicians neglect to deal with neurodynamic issues. Neurodynamics shouldn’t only be evaluated in the presence of neurological symptoms. Many other conditions need a thorough exploration of neurodynamics. This short course aims to help clinicians better recognize when neurodyamics is implicated in different musculoskeletal conditions and understand the mechanisms driving neurodynamic issues. It will also provide them with useful tools to help their patients.
Objectives
- Better understand the concepts and mechanisms around neurodynamics.
- Understand the pathophysiology of nerves and neurodynamic issues.
- Recognize pain caused by neurodynamic issues through the history and subjective
assessment. - Recognize the most common regions affected by neurodynamic issues.
- Better understand common differential diagnosis between neurodynamic issues and other
musculoskeletal pathologies. - Better understand when to do neurodynamic testing and how to interpret it correctly.
- Discover the different options of management for neurodynamic issues (exercises, manual
therapy techniques and education).

Alexis Gougeon was great in delivering the information. It is a good refresher course and i have learnt how to combine other techniques with neural mobilization techniques. It would have been great if we had screenshots about all the tests as well.
