This course is only available in French.
This course will allow you to better understand the psychological challenges to overcome when a patient suffers from pain. You will learn how to choose the right words to encourage them to do their exercises, how to adjust your speech and how to accompany them in order to motivate them in the management of their problem.
During this course, different personality profiles will be detailed and adaptation strategies for the professional will be proposed. Role plays will be used to illustrate the real challenges of your daily professional life.
The course will help you to better understand your patients and to adapt your interventions according to their personality type. It will help you keep your patients motivated in adopting a healthy lifestyle and in their management. It will allow you to identify the real barriers that create resistance to treatment and exercise.
More specifically, this course is based on the UX Motivation method. A theory of self-determination developed by professors Edward Deci and Richard Ryan in the early 1970s. This theory is a model of the psychological functioning of human motivation. It is based on the identification of three fundamental needs, which should necessarily be satisfied to allow individuals to carry out an action perceived as “motivated”. Although this theory has already been applied by professionals in many fields (parenting, education, sports, psychotherapy, work management, etc.), it remains relatively unknown in the health field. Nevertheless, it offers concrete applications to stimulate motivation on a daily basis.
Not deep enough
I wonder if I’ll be equipped to apply his strategies. He is dynamic in his teaching.
A little abstract for me to understand the concept of the cell with behavior. Otherwise, great course. The videos showing examples are interesting at first, but become less so over time.
Very interesting to demystify personality traits. I remember asking open-ended questions and analyzing the person in front of you so that the bond of trust and the treatment are optimal.
Wow, a great course for all professionals, to quickly identify personality types and perfect our interventions. Very practical course, not just theoretical, easy to apply in our daily interventions! Thank you
