Summary

Hip-related pain is common in young to middle aged individuals. Hip joint imaging findings are used to diagnose and guide treatment approaches for hip-related conditions.  However, contemporary research suggests that hip-joint imaging findings also exist in people without pain.

In this webinar, Dr. Joshua Heerey (La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre, AUS) will merge scientific evidence and his clinical experience to provide you with comprehensive understanding of the relevance of hip joint imaging findings in patients with hip-related pain.

Objectives

  1. Recall the prevalence of cam morphology, labral tears and cartilage defects in pain-free individuals?
  2. Recall which hip joint imaging findings are associated with hip and groin pain
  3. Demonstrate understanding of the relationship between bony hip morphology, symptoms and early hip OA
