Jean-Sébastien Roy is a researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation and Social Integration (Cirris) and a Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at Université Laval (Quebec City, Canada). The objective of his research program is to advance our understanding of the development and chronicity of musculoskeletal disorders, thereby enabling the design of more effective interventions that leverage modern technologies and most current evidence, while also improving access to healthcare services. He has published over 230 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 9 book chapters, and has given over 60 presentations at national and international conferences. Before being involved full time in research, he has worked for 10 years as a physical therapist at the Laval University Hospital, specializing in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
